Buildings and Grounds provides maintenance and repair services for over 30 County-owned buildings and properties, as well as implementing and overseeing new construction and capital improvement projects.

Current projects include:

  • Renovations to the historic Warren County Courthouse
  • Renovation to the events barn at Bread Lock park
  • Ongoing improvements to the 911 Communication Center's Fire Training Academy

The main focus of the Buildings and Grounds Division is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all County employees and the visiting public.   We strive to protect the taxpayer's investment in all County owned facilities and properties by developing and implementing preventative maintenance practices and responding to emergencies - storm related and otherwise - in a prompt and efficient manner.

Our diverse duties include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general maintenance, preventative maintenance, janitorial services and HVAC maintenance.

Groundskeeping duties include lawn maintenance, landscaping, snow/ice removal and other storm related issues.  We often receive inquiries from the public regarding current common concerns about the health of vegetation, and  pests causing negative impacts.   For information about the Emerald Ash Borer and its effect on trees, click here.  For information about the Spotted Lanternfly, click here.

We also provide assistance as needed to all County offices such as records retention and destruction, office moves, deliveries, assistance with election deliveries and pick-ups, as well as other special requests.   Additionally, our Mail Clerks provide daily delivery, pick-up and processing of both U.S. Mail and interoffice mail for all of our County offices.
