Health Education & Health Promotion Programs

The Warren County Health Department provides a variety of health education programs to inform, encourage and enable people to take steps to improve and maintain a healthy and safe lifestyle.

A certified health education specialist designs, develops or uses existing evidence-based programs to meet specific needs as requested. Presentations and programs are available upon request for all Warren County residents, schools, organizations, and businesses, on a variety of public health topics. In partnership with other agencies, organizations and community stakeholders, an expert may be requested if appropriate or necessary. Program and presentation areas include, but are not limited to:

  • General Health Education/Promotion, such as
    • Stress Management
    • Nutrition
    • Physical Fitness & Exercise
  • Chronic diseases (with an emphasis on prevention and screening), such as
    • Heart Disease & Hypertension
    • Cancer
  • Maternal /Child Health, such as
    • Women's Health Issues
    • Lead Poisoning
    • Health & Safety
  • Environmental Health, such as
    • Food Handling & Safety
    • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Communicable Diseases, such as
    • Mosquito and tickborne diseases and prevention
    • HIV & AIDS
    • Hepatitis A, B, & C
