Warren County relies on volunteers to offer their expertise and perspective in many ways. Periodically, there are specific slots on boards, commissions, or committees that the Board of County Commissioners needs to fill, and those vacancies will be listed on this page of the County website.

The many reasons to volunteer include doing your civic duty, keeping busy, achieving a sense of satisfaction for a job well done, and helping your community and its residents.

Other Opportunities

County government also seeks volunteers who wish to help their community in other hands-on ways. Some of these are:

  • Serving as a docent or greeter at one of the county-sponsored museums, Shippen Manor Museum, the Jim and Mary Lee Museum at Morris Canal Plane 9 West, and the Warren Heritage Museum at Bread Lock Park
  • Delivering meals to the homebound
  • Helping older or disabled residents with household chores
  • Assisting at county-sponsored events, including events for the upcoming Warren County Bicentennial Celebration
