(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – March 9, 2023) – The 2023 Grand Marshal of the Hackettstown St. Patrick’s Day parade has donned his sash!
Warren County Commissioner James R. Kern III attended the 14th annual Grand Marshal Reception, hosted by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID), and presented Robert “Bob” Moore with a proclamation from the Warren County Board of County Commissioners congratulating him on his selection as the 2023 Grand Marshal of the Hackettstown St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Commissioner Kern noted that “You can tell a lot about a man by the amount of Whereases in a proclamation,” and it is clear that Bob Moore truly loves and works hard for Hackettstown.
A Hackettstown resident since 1976, Bob Moore served on Hackettstown Town Council from 1990 to 1996, has been on the Land Use Board since 2000, volunteered at Our Lady of the Mountain to teach Religious Ed classes from 1985 to 2008, is a Kiwanis Member and past president, a member of the American Legion Blue Ridge Post 164, in the Knights of Columbus, and has served on the Board of Education since 2008. Bob has also been a member of the Hackettstown First Aid and Rescue Squad for over 25 years and is a past president.
The 2023 Hackettstown St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be this Sunday, March 12, at 3:30 p.m. Kern and fellow Commissioners Jason J. Sarnoski and Director Lori Ciesla will be marching in the parade, while the county's Explore Warren County Tourism Partnership is a parade sponsor. The Grand Marshal Reception was held at David's Country Inn in Hackettstown.
Commissioner James R. Kern III reads the proclamation, then congratulates Robert “Bob” Moore on his selection as Grand Marshal. On the right is Laurie Rapisardi, Executive Director of the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (Hackettstown BID), which presents the annual parade and Grand Marshal Reception.
